Puppy-Proofing Your Home

Welcoming a new pet puppy to your home can be exciting, that is until you make the realization that your yard and home plays host to a variety of hazards that could endanger your net pet. It then becomes important to puppy-proof your home as among the initial things to do. You must know when and how to do this so that your new puppy grows up in his new environment. Puppies seem to have a bottomless well of curiosity and energy, so the importance of staying on top of this will be a benefit.

There are various typical yard and home plants that pet owners might not think about twice insofar as being hazardous to pets or not. You will want these types of houseplants to be beyond the reach of your new pet. Some of them are oleander, snake plants, and lilies. Some outdoor plants will need to be restricted from your pet as well, such as the Weeping Fig tree, Sago palm, and the Areca palm. This restriction does not mean getting rid of plants like these, perhaps just relocate them somewhere beyond your new puppy’s reach.

If you have any questions or concerns about your pet’s behavior, don’t hesitate to contact your vets Lakewood Ranch FL.
