When Is Cat Vomiting Something To Worry About?

dvmelite1

Almost every cat will have a vomiting episode, making it quite common. If your pet cat vomits sometimes but is otherwise fine - that is, she has normal bowel movements, activity levels, water consumption, and appetite - then it is okay not to worry too much about it.

Should your cat vomit often or is displaying other indicators of an illness like constipation, diarrhea, hiding, drooling, loss of appetite, or lethargy, then she might need to see your veterinarian.

This could also be an issue if your pet appears to retch or try to vomit, yet expels nothing. Such occurrences might indicate that there is an obstruction. A cat that suddenly changes how frequent her vomiting episodes are must also be checked by your veterinarian.

Even though there is really no rule that states the normal vomiting episode frequency of pet cats in general, if you see your pet vomiting more than a few times monthly, or if your pet manifests various other indicators of illness, then she might need to visit your vet.

A lot of medical issues could be treated or managed with early treatment. Therefore, it is essential that you be more prudent and check with your veterinarian Webster, NY if you suspect that your pet has an underlying medical problem.
