Does your Japanese Bobtail or other feline friend appear to have an irritated or swollen eye? If so, there could be something in the eye. You should call your vet. A stray eyelash or debris from the environment can often cause your cat’s eyes to be extremely watery. Something in your Japanese Bobtail cat’s eyes can also cause excessive blinking. Talk to your vet and schedule a checkup. Your vet may need to look at your cat’s eye to see what’s going on. Your vet may also instruct you how to look in your cat’s eye at home. You can do this by using your thumb to lift the upper eyelid while checking underneath for debris. Do the same with the lower eyelid by using the other hand. Your vet may instruct you to flush the eye with cool water. Call your cat to your pet clinic Columbia, MD for assistance or a follow up. Read more here.
