Have you provided socialization activities to your beloved cat? Your cat can adapt to its surroundings but his ability to do so will be contingent upon how well you have given him socialization opportunities or training during his younger years. His younger years must be rich, diverse, and positive in terms of his socialization experiences or activities and full of interactions. All cats should receive enough socialization training during their younger years so they can grow up as "better and prepared" cats. Many cats may be aloof but their general behavior will be shaped for the better during the socialization stage (which is sometimes called desensitization). During the socialization stage, cats will learn to increase their self-confidence, learn to react properly to specific situations, as well as learn to be cooperative with others. A lot of cats miss out on this socialization stage because many cat owners are not aware or just don't see the value in this training.
