A good way of keeping your pet occupied and at the same time challenging his mental faculties is to let him work to get his food. This is recommended for busy dogs. There are even toys that are meant to keep food inside as a treat for your pet. Some types can hold wet food like pureed then frozen vegetables or fruits, and there are those that are to hold doggie treats or dry food. The idea is that your pet knocks it about using his paws or nose for the toy to dispense his reward.
Be aware of your pet’s mouth dimensions and select correctly-sized toys. Check the puzzle toys and make sure that there are no removable pieces that our dog can end up swallowing. Also, do some double-checking to find out if your pet is chewing off and ingesting rubber bits from frozen snack toys.
