Tonkinese Cats, also called Tonks, are active, loving, and friendly. They'll surely change the aloof, independent nature you generally see in cats. They persistently demand love and attention, following you everywhere, riding on your shoulder, and being involved in every family activity. They enjoy meeting people— they don't like to be alone. If you have work in the daytime, be sure they have a friend— either a fellow kitty or a pup.
As with their Siamese parents, the Tonks are active and smart— jumping high places and mastering toy puzzles quickly. This cat is also excellent and, to say the least, a natural when it comes to retrieving. They can learn tricks and walk on a leash. Also, rotate the assortment of their toys. And even though the Tonkinese Cat tends to be stubborn, their clownish ways will surely get you anyway.
