Lovebirds Make Great Pets For Beginners

Lovebirds can come in a myriad of colors, sort of resembling rainbow-colored shaved ice. These are talkative, curious, playful, and quite active pets, not unlike parrotlets - quite small but have big personalities.

Lovebirds require lots of attention and training to prevent them from developing aggressive and territorial habits, but they could become jealous. If you train them properly and handle them often, your pet will form a bond with you and become affectionate.

Since lovebirds are aggressive chewers and like playtime, offer them lots of lead and zinc-free toys. That lovebirds require mates is a myth, but they like being members of flocks. One lovebird in a medium-sized birdcage will give it ample space for flying.

Lovebirds require exercise too. So allow your pets several hours outside their cage in a large and safe room to let them exercise.

If your pet is showing any signs of illness, make an appointment with your animal hospital Pasadena, MD.
