Did you know that bunnies can be taught to use litterboxes? This definitely makes caring for them much simpler. This doesn't come as naturally to them as it does to cats, though, so you'll need to do some training.
Getting things set up properly is half the battle. You want to get a large litterbox. You can use one made for cats. A cement-mixing tray will also work. At first, you'll want to set out several. Once your pet is trained, you can remove the extra ones.
When you are training your pet, put a hayrack over the litterbox, so she has to jump into it to eat. You'll also want to leave some waste in it. This will help your pet associate the box with its intended purpose.
Keep a close eye on your bunny. When she goes in her box, reward her with praise and treats. Training will take some time, but it will be well worth it in the end.
