I think my Corgi’s Eye is Swollen

Both small and large dogs can play rough enough to injure themselves especially in the eye area. If you notice your Corgi’s eye is swollen, bruised or appears to be torn give your vet a call right. Your Corgi has most likely torn his eyelid or bruised it while playing or even fighting. Your vet may want you to bring your dog in for an exam. If this is the case, ask your vet what you should do for your dog while on the way to the office. He may suggest taking a moist cloth and patting the eye gently to stop any bleeding. Your vet may also advise you to place a cold compress on the affected eye in order to prevent or reduce any type of swelling. Ask your licensed vet Wake Forest NC how long to keep the cold compress applied to your dog’s eye.
