How to Prevent Your Cat from Getting Hairballs

Your cat can get hairballs when it ingests its fur. You might think that hairballs should not be a concern since these furs can be expelled from the body as waste material. But those furs that remain in the stomach might harm your cat’s digestive system further as they can tangle up and form a ball which can possibly lodge in any part of your pet’s digestive tract.

To ensure that your cat will not get hairballs, you can do the following:

● Brush your pet’s hair daily. Doing so will enable you to remove falling hair from your cat’s body so your cat will not ingest it. Choose from a wide variety of combs and brushes from the pet store. Your long-haired cat will benefit from this daily brushing, too.

● Feed them with premium dry cat food. Choose the ones that contain fiber to help sweep the fur outside the body.

● Give kitty grass to your cat. This is another source of fiber and can further improve their digestive system.

If your cat tends to form a lot of hairballs, make an appointment with your animal clinic Marietta, GA to help address the issue.
