Jack Russells are known to bark a lot. Of course, the dog has valid reasons for doing so. For one, they are descended from hunting dogs. Barking is part of their duty to scare foxes out of their hiding places.
Second, they ate watchdogs; and barking is their way of alerting the owners that there is a presence approaching the home. They also alert informing the owners if there is a stranger.
Third, they are not fond of other dogs prompting the terrier to bark at them. Notice how your dog keeps barking at anyone when you go out?
But you can manage these behaviors by training your dog. Get them to see other animals to broaden their knowledge. You can also train your dog to obey the "quiet" and "stop" commands. Just give it time and perseverance, and you can easily control your dog's behavior once he knows these rules.
