Help Your Cat Cope With Stress

To help your cat deal and cope with stress, try engaging her in physical activities. This not only uses up any excess energy, but it also relaxes your pet and helps her be emotionally balanced.

Set aside ten to fifteen minutes twice daily to play with your pet, one ideally in the mornings, and the other late in the afternoon or before bedtime. Be sure that you dial down the activities during the last few minutes to allow your cat to slowly calm down. Then offer her a treat, signifying the end of the play session.

Try hiding your cat’s favorite toys, only bringing them out when it is time to play. This keeps your cat interested in her toys. Put them away at the end of every play activity. Cycle or rotate the toys now and then so that her curiosity and interest are always kept up.

Any sign of illness exhibited by your pet should require an appointment with your vet Murrieta CA.
