Having more than 2 Syrian hamsters or golden hamsters would mean that you have to place them in different enclosures because these animals commonly get into fights even if they are siblings. This aggressive behavior shows up at around the 10th week of age. When you put two adult males together in the same cage, they could fight until one of them dies if you happen to not notice and intervene when the fight broke out.
These hamsters are active at night since they’re nocturnal creatures. Their cages should have enough space for them to go about their natural habits and behavior. Make sure that the cage is placed in the part of the house where they would not be disturbed while they are sleeping.
Once these hamsters reach maturity, every four days the female ones return into heat if they did not get pregnant in the previous cycle. Separate your male and female hamsters if you do not want to breed them.
Your pet will benefit from regular health and wellness checks at your animal hospital Middletown, DE.
