Gardening With Your Dog

Do you like gardening? Your canine buddy would likely be more than happy to lend a helping paw in this matter. However, it’s probably safe to say that Fido doesn't exactly have a green thumb. (Or paw.)

One thing that may be very helpful here would be to divide your yard up into different sections. Set aside one part for your pet, and another for your plants. You'll need something to use as borders. Get creative with this! You can use things like raised beds, logs, statues, potted plants, benches, fencing, or shrubs.

If your furry friend is a digger, try giving him his own sandbox and burying some toys in it. If your dog knows where the goodies are, he may leave your plants alone!

Finally, make sure that you know what is and isn't safe for your furry friend. You can find a full list of toxic and non-toxic plants online at the ASPCA website. Bring your pup in to your veterinarian Anderson, IN regularly for exams.
