Do Your Dog's Eyes Water A Lot?

Have you noticed that your dog’s eyes water a lot? Do they get watery at some times more than others? Some dogs naturally have watery or drippy eyes because of allergies in the air and environment. Other dogs may have watery eyes due to their eyes trying to naturally flush out debris or dirt that has gotten into the eyes. Still other dogs may have a condition that creates watery eyes as a symptom. For instance, blocked tear ducts can cause a backup of tears or cause the tears to come out all at once in the form of excessive watery eyes. Watery eyes can also be the sign of a cold. Sometimes the water eyes can become crusty and require routine cleaning. If you notice any type of discharge coming from the eye that is green or yellow in coloring, please call your animal hospital Lapel, IN right away to schedule an appointment.
