Do Cats Need Probiotics ?

Both cats and humans can experience stomach problems. These problems range from vomiting, stomach ache, and diarrhea. Sometimes, stress can cause digestive issues. But some cats have habits that lead to stomach upset. For instance, some cats might ingest more furs than necessary. And later on, would throw up or have a stomach ache because of the furs.

The stomachs of both humans and cats act the same way. So, if you believe that probiotics work for you. Then it should work for your pet cat as well.

However, cats should not take identical probiotics that humans consume. There might be dangerous consequences for your cat. There is a different formulation for animals.

There are studies that explain how the imbalance of good and bacteria occur in the animal’s gut. A well-functioning gastrointestinal system manages the regular number of good and bad bacteria.

Remember that probiotics are supplements, these are not vitamins for your cat. Probiotics help the good bacteria fight off the bad bacteria in your cat’s gut.
