Care Information For Manchester Terriers

Manchester Terriers require mental stimulation and daily exercise. Walks, disc games, obedience, agility, or runs should last for at least half an hour a day, but keep in mind that alone time in the yard shouldn't be considered an exercise— these dogs will only wait at your door.

Manchester Terriers badly crave human contact and are the happiest when they hang out with their humans. It's best to leave them some puzzle toys (like Buster cubes) when you aren't around to play. With that, their minds can stay active and occupied.

As puppies, this breed doesn't require the same hard exercises as his adult counterpart. In fact, letting them run on a hard surface (like concrete) and jump should be avoided until they're one year of age. In the meantime, such activities can only stress their skeletal system (which isn't fully mature yet) and may result in joint problems.
