Are Some Cats More Friendly Than Others?

As a cat owner, you may have noticed that some of your cats are more affectionate than others. But is this just the luck of the draw, or do certain breeds of cats have different personalities?

The answer is both! There are many factors that influence the personality of your cat, including her breed and age. But there's also something else to consider: how much socialization they've had.

Socialization affects cats' behavior because it helps them learn how to interact with other animals and people—and it makes them more likely to show affection toward humans. In fact, recent research has shown that kittens who spend time around people early in life tend to be more friendly as adults than those who don't get this kind of exposure until later on in life.

So if your little Fluffy is a little more standoffish than you'd like, be patient, spend lots of time with her, and be sure she gets to socialize with lots of other pets if possible.

And if you have more questions or wish to schedule Fluffy for a checkup, feel free to call us, your local vet Tumwater, WA anytime!
