Are dogs made to hunt friendly? Can those animals that display aggression and great veracity be families’ companions? Can they develop lasting relationships with humans? All these questions have all but one answer: yes.
Gordon Setters are dogs developed in the 16th century in Scotland and England. They were bred to hunt quails and pheasants. Because of such endeavor, these pups have developed and retained some of their traits: activeness and playfulness. They may also become aggressive at some point, but they can never be vicious. These dogs are generally friendly to their families, but they are aloof toward strangers or new visitors.
In addition, Setters love children. They enjoy playing with them and they tolerate children’s naughty behavior (e.g., teasing). But never leave your children interacting with your pet dogs unsupervised. Remember these dogs can be vocal and verbal. Ensure to give them time and attention.
If you have any concerns about your pet's health and/or behavior, make an appointment with an animal hospital Ada, MI.
